Your first visit to our North Garland dental office SMILINE DENTAL TEXAS typically includes a series of X-rays, which allows us to view the structure of the jaw, the position of the teeth, bone level, and tooth decay. A Complete new patient exam is then completed by the doctor and any treatment needed is then presented to you.
The initial new patient visit involves a review of your medical history. When you share your medical history, be sure to provide complete, up-to-date information on your health. Also tell us the names, doses, and frequency of any medications you are taking — whether prescription or over-the-counter products — and the name of your physician and any recent Hospitalizations. Inform us of any changes in your health or medications. This new patient information will help us select the safest and most effective method of treatment for you.If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional x-rays are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).
If you have dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
